I started Online Learning Insights in 2012, when I was working as the lead curriculum developer at a private university. I saw two big needs: guidance for faculty and instructors who were transitioning their courses from face-to-face to the online format, and development of a new skill set for teaching online. Online Learning Insights was born! I wanted to share with others how to deliver pedagogically sound learning in the online format. My blog has been referenced in academic papers, featured in education sites and materials, and is visited by educators and learners from over 90 countries. You can connect with Online Learning Insights here. Book Chapter |
The MOOC Case Book tells stories of e-learning practitioners, faculty, and students who faced challenges during the design, development, implementation, or participation in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The book is specific to MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), an innovative method of online education launched in 2013. The book is frequently used as a textbook or supplementary resource in education programs that focus on instructional design in e-learning, distance education, and higher education.
